The Tastes of Heaven Gala

Tastes of Heaven
On the road to Tsiigehtchic, NT.

The Tastes of Heaven Gala has been a CMIC tradition for 22 years and was started by several Catholic business people, including our Honorary Gala Chair, Frank Morneau.  Their vision was to create an event to help CMIC kick-start its annual fund-raising efforts.  It grew successfully until 2019, but in 2020 our world came apart with the advent of COVID-19 and our 20th Gala was cancelled.

The tradition was reinstated in 2021 with a successful Tastes of Heaven Virtual Wine Tasting Gala.  Donors and sponsors participated in this new format to continue raising funds for our missions.  In 2022, we used the virtual format again.

We’re glad to present another annual tradition – thanking our Sponsors. The names on the adjacent page are of individuals and businesses who have generously chosen to be Tastes of Heaven Gala sponsors.  Some have done so for years, while for others it’s the first time.  Whatever the case, CMIC is most appreciative to them for making us one of their chosen charities.

This year, we had the good fortune of having Aurora Foods, Waupoos Estate Winery and Donini Chocolate as our food sponsors.  The products they chose to fill the wine packages were a big hit.  The food preparation segment of the event with Chef Christian Pritchard and the wine tasting portion with wine maker Amy Baldwin were fantastic.  Truth be known, we were told by many wine package buyers that they ate the chocolates long before the event even happened.

From all of us at CMIC and all the missionaries we serve, many, many thanks!!!
