- To establish an endowment, an agreement is signed between the donor and Catholic Missions In Canada. We assume the fiduciary responsibility to maintain the principal of the endowed gift held in the fund forever, where only the interest income is utilized.

Making a Gift of Publicly Traded Securities
Obtain a Letter of Direction by clicking the button below, calling 1-866-937-2642, or emailing joe@cmic.info. Complete and sign the form.
Once completed.
- Send a copy to your broker
- Send a copy to Catholic Missions in Canada by email to joe@cmic.info or by fax to 416-934-3425
- Send a copy to CIBC Trust to ashley.blanchard@cibc.com or fax to 416-861-7058
Your broker will transfer the requested securities to Catholic Missions in Canada’s account with CIBC Trust.
Once the CIBC Trust Broker receives your Gift of Securities, they are immediately sold. Then, once the trade settles, the proceeds from the sale are transferred to our account and a charitable tax receipt for the full value of the proceeds is sent to you.
If, in two weeks, you do not hear from us, please call for an update. This can be especially important if you are making a donation prior to a year end to take advantage of a charitable tax receipt.
